I think it’s a personal need and a choice. I don’t think there’s a social culture around it. Most of the people are not even thinking about it.

Some might be but it’s mostly wishful. Not everyone is thinking about it practically.

Also, even if there’s a social culture around it, then it’s because people are not feeling fullfilled with where they are in life right now.

Majority of that feeling stems from financial reasons but a lot of it is amplified by social media and consumerism.

A side hustle is a personal ambition, something someone would have loved to follow as a dream job but couldn’t because of any number of reasons.
